Between 1753 and 1756 the King's Own were stationed on the Mediterranean island of Minorca.  A pay document exists in the museum's collection with details the 'charge of the Garrison of Minorca' which also details the daily rates of pay for the officers and soldiers of the regiment.  Added June 2007.

The museum has just published, in two volumes, the British War and Allied Victory Medal Roll for the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.  23,000 names of the other ranks who were awarded the War and/or Victory Medal are listed, along with details of battalion and other units with whom a soldier may have served.  More details in Museum Shop.
