The museum brings to life the story of the soldiers who served against Napoleon, Kaiser William and Adolf Hitler. It's not all bullets and bombs though. Objects and photographs, medals, fascinating letters, carefully crafted silver and works of art bring home the real nature of military service. Jacobite Rebellions of 1715 and 1745-6 War against Russia in the Crimea 1854-56 Century old rations from the South African War 1899-1902 Orders and medals reflect heroics, life and death.
