Prisoners of War - Page Two

2nd Lieutenant Tom Chaplin Threadgold, on the right, at Pforzheim Prisoner of War Camp, 1918.
Accession Number KO1356/07

King's Own prisoners of war, left to right, 2nd Lieutenant Tom Chaplin Threadgold, Lieutenant A S Latham, MC, and 2nd Lieutenant Gordon Steel.  All three officers went missing on the 9th April, Threadgold and Latham serving with the 1st/4th Battalion and Steel with the 1st/5th Battalion.  They were held at Pforzheim Officer Prisoner of War Camp.  Threadgold was repatriated on 8th December 1918 and Steel and Latham followed two days later on 10th December 1918.

2nd Lieutenant Tom Threadgold at Pforzheim Officer Prisoner of War Camp, 1918.  Tom Threadgold was commissioned into the King's Own on 27th June 1917 and posted to the 7th Battalion on 9th November 1917.  He was posted to the 1st/4th Battalion and was taken prisoner of 9th April 1918.

2nd Lieutenant Gordon Steel at Pforzheim Officer Prisoner of War Camp, 1918.  Gordon Steel was commissioned into the King's Own on 26th June 1917 and joined the 7th Battalion in December 1917.  Later he transferred to the 5th Battalion, with whom he was serving when he was taken prisoner on 9th April 1918.
