The Regiment's history is fascinating, at times exciting and often emotional.

WAR! 1914
Lancaster and The King's Own Go To War.  Parts of the exhibition, including the Model Railway extended until after Christmas!
War! 1914 looks at the response to the outbreak of the Great War in Lancaster and by the King's Own Regiment.  Whilst volunteers joined up and began their training, the King's Own was involved in the first actions of the war on the Western Front.   On Line Exhibition

The Museum, located within the City Museum, Market Square, Lancaster, LA1 1HT,and is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, admission is free.

From Sunday 1st February 2015 Lancaster City Museum and the King's Own Royal Regiment Museum will open on Sundays from 10am to 5pm, but close on Mondays.  The opening times will be Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm. Admission Free.
